Returns on Komers.mu
Return eligibility depends on the vendor, the product category, and whether the item matches its listing. There is no single return policy across the whole marketplace — vendors set their own terms.
How returns work on Komers
Each vendor on Komers manages their own return policy. Before you buy, check the return policy shown on the product or store page. If the vendor hasn't published one, that usually means returns may not be available.
If a vendor's return policy says no returns, that applies to change-of-mind returns. It does not mean a vendor can send the wrong item or simply never deliver. Those situations may still be eligible for Komers Buyer Protection.
If you're unsure whether a specific item can be returned, reach out to the vendor before purchasing.
Finding a vendor's return policy
Policy published: the vendor's return policy is shown on every product page and their store page. Read it before purchasing — especially the return window and condition requirements.
No policy published: returns may not be accepted unless the vendor agrees or the item qualifies for Buyer Protection. Contact the vendor before buying if return flexibility matters to you.
Typical return conditions
Even when returns are accepted, most vendors require all of the following:
- Item is unused and in the same condition as received
- Original packaging intact with all accessories included
- Tags attached (where applicable)
- Return requested within the vendor's stated return window
- Proof of purchase provided
Return process
- Contact the vendor — message the vendor through their store page. Describe the issue and include photos if relevant. Most vendors resolve this directly.
- Submit your return request — if the vendor confirms the return, follow their instructions for shipping or drop-off. Keep all packaging until the return is resolved.
- Vendor approves or rejects — the vendor will confirm the return and provide instructions, or explain why the request doesn't qualify under their policy.
- Refund or exchange processed — processed per the vendor's terms once the item is received and inspected.
Generally non-returnable items
- Perishable food and beverages
- Custom or personalised items made to order
- Personal care items and cosmetics once opened
- Intimate or hygienic items
- Time-based bookings and experiences once consumed or started
- Services fully delivered
- Used items sold as used, unless faulty or significantly misdescribed
- Items without original packaging where packaging was a material part of the listing
A vendor's "no returns" policy does not override Buyer Protection
If a vendor's listing says no returns, that applies to standard change-of-mind situations. It does not mean a vendor can send the wrong item, never deliver, or misrepresent what was sold. For eligible cases involving non-delivery or significant listing mismatch, Komers Buyer Protection may still apply regardless of the vendor's return policy.
